The month of May has been full of changes. On May 9th I left Honduras to come to the states on a 6 weeks furlough. I have spent the last three weeks meeting with family, friends and supports. Spent time visiting churches and truly feeling the love of God through his people.
Last Saturday, God blessed with with being able to see my youngest brother Greg who I have not seen since our Mother died in 2005. Along with him was his wife, their two adopted daughter which I met for the first time, and then all three of my nephews from my youngest brother. The youngest is graduating from High School and then the other two that lives in California. I was so blessed that God made this all happened and we could spend time together. All I can say is God is sooooo good.
I am also looking forward to being able to see my other brother and his family before I go back home.
Since being in the states, there has come up an opportunity to purchase a car in Honduras. This is exciting and scaring at the same time. I do now have my Honduran drivers license so the next step would be to purchase a vehicle. Please stand with me in prayer for God to bless me with the provisions to purchase this SUV if it is his will for me right now. If all comes together I can have the SUV when I get home to Honduras.
I will be in the process of also moving to a larger apartment at our Mission House. I remember when I was there on my in country interview telling the HR Director that was where I wanted to live at the time he told me that it was already taken and I could not have it. Now almost two years later that is where God is sending me to live. This shows me that just because we wants something doesn't mean we can't have it just that some times we have to wait until it is in God's timing.
While being here in the states God has me involved in our Women Connection Bible study which is teaching me a lot. And I am so thankful for the ladies in the group and their prayers.
My wonderful ladies from my Ladies Bible study in Honduras along with my missionary friends have been very supportive with their prayers.
My thoughts: for me to stay as a missionary in Honduras money is important but prayer is more important. I am learning that God meet us at our expectancy so I need to expect big and he will meet me there. So I am expecting big things from my God.
Please pray with me for the next three weeks for God's blessings and provision.
Ps. 37:7 Be still in the presence of the Lord and wait patiently for him to act.
